Light Therapy

Light Therapy

We now have Red Light & Blue LIght Therapy! Red Light Therapy is said to “Turn back the hands of time”. The key to Red Light lamp therapy is narrowing the wavelength of the light source to between 615-640 nm. Studies have shown that repeated exposure to light in this range stimulates the body’s natural production of collagen. Increased collagen production fills in fine lines and wrinkles in the skin which produces the desired anti-aging effect. Red Light Therapy has been used to stimulate blood circulation and to diminish the appearance of cellulite & scars. The key to using red light therapy successfully is to understand that it takes time. The results will come, but in order to achieve them you will need to develop a continual regiment that mixes the lotion products with sessions in a red light therapy machine. For the first three months it is necessary to use the booth at least three times a week. After the first 12 weeks you can reduce this number but if possible maintain as frequent visitations as you can to achieve maximum results. At the end of a 30 day period, when the sessions are administered in conjunction with the skin care regiment, you can expect to see a reduction in the appearance of pore size, a marked decrease in appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and skin that feels and looks more youthful. Although we can’t make medical claims the initial findings have shown that customers who use the red light therapy do experience an overall feeling of well being. It is a wonderful side benefit that complements the primary goal of turning back the hands of time.

Blue Light Therapy has been used by dermatologists to treat acne. This pain-free light is safe and uses no ultraviolet (UV) light or lasers. When blue light is used as a treatment for acne, it has been said to kill the p. acnes, the acne-causing bacteria that can form within the sebaceous glands and cause break outs. Blue light therapy targets the sebaceous glands, and not the surrounding tissues, killing the bacteria that cause acne. Many patients see significant improvement in their acne after two to four weekly treatment sessions of blue light therapy. Used in conjunction with the Red Light could help diminish the appearance of scarring as well.
